As a part of this research partnership, Tech Mahindra will share real world challenges in cybersecurity with IIT Kanpur teams to find suitable solutions
IT services major Tech Mahindra has signed an MoU with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur to conduct joint research in the field of cybersecurity.
Through this partnership, Tech Mahindra would provide “real world industry exposure” to the students of IIT Kanpur, as well as share real world challenges in cybersecurity with IIT Kanpur teams to find suitable solutions.
In a press release, the company said it would also work on research projects to develop and foster an environment to deal with automation in cybersecurity and to enhance digital resilience of critical national infrastructure, the company said in a press release.
In addition, IIT Kanpur’s Centre for Cyber Security and Cyber Defense of Critical Infrastructure (C3I centre) will be collaborating with Tech Mahindra in transferring technology developed at the centre for commercialization.
Partnership aims to develop indigenous tools to protect cyber infrastructure

IIT Kanpur Director Prof. Abhay Karandikar is confident that their association with Tech Mahindra will lead to novel indigenous technology developments in the field of cybersecurity.
