Supercharge the Rice to Reduce World Hunger

Photosynthesis in rice will expand crop yield as tried by scientists from University of Oxford in a long-term project aiming to feed billions of needy people around the world. The C-4 Rice project is bringing the concept of single maize gene to the plant. The research included the major step to evolve from C-3 to C-4, after which it will enable the farmers to completely change their agricultural productivity.
