Students at the University of Washington is developing SWARMFX – an autonomous surveillance system for wildfire tackling, allowing real-time mapping of the wildfire and local terrain and providing vital live stream information to incident commanders. The data collected, including fire-personnel location, will be displayed on an easily interpreted user interface, allowing for better decision-making.
