However, following the request from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, it was decided that the medical and dental entrance test will continue to be an annual exam on pen and paper mode with no change in pattern.

Therefore, NEET-UG will be a single exam in pen and paper mode and in the same number of languages as it has been conducted in 2018. CMAT and GPAT will be conducted yearly and will be a single day exam to be held on January 28, 2019.

Test practice centres for rural students to prepare well

Along with the exams dates, NTA had announced the results dates as well. With the announcements of the dates, NTA had also planned to establish a network of test practice centres (TPCs) for students of rural areas.

By this step, they envision to provide an opportunity for every student to practice before the exam. From September 1, 2019, around 2697 schools and engineering colleges with computer centres are being made available on every weekend. Where students can take up this opportunity to practice for their entrance facility free of cost.

A mobile application is being developed which will enable the students to choose the nearest TPC. Even though NTA is yet to release the official notification for these exams, students can make a note of important dates so that they can start their exam preparation.
