MITE Signs MoU with KPIT Automobile firm


Students to get benefit from this program as they would be provided skills that will make them more efficient in their jobs and thus ensure employability  

The Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Moodbidri has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with an automotive domain Indian based multinational corporation KPIT Technologies Limited. The signing of MoU took place at the KPIT Bengaluru office.

Employment opportunities

Apart from education the institute also provides students with the employment opportunities with major global corporations. To accomplish this MITE has previously tied up with leading firms. And with this MoU with KPIT, the opportunities with for industry oriented trainings has increased many folds.

As per the agreement, final year engineering students of electronics and communication engineering and mechanical engineering will have four months of practical industry training at KPIT campus on automotive, electronics design and development.

Post the training, the students will not just be certified by KPIT, but also provide core engineering job opportunities for students excelling in the training. As also a part of the MoU, MITE faculty will also be provided trainings on niche and latest technologies at KPIT campus by domain experts to enable practical oriented education to the students.

Entrepreneurship encouraged

In order to promote entrepreneurship, MITE has established an Incubation center in the campus that provides a conductive for the startups to flourish, adjust to the business environment, compete and establish themselves in the league. Also, the government has selected MITE for an incubation program with a funding of 65 lakhs for innovative 10 projects.

In future, the faculty members of MITE will also get trainings from KPIT which will enable them to teach the latest technological trends to the students.
