A committee formed to review the conduct of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board examinations is seeking suggestion from IITs to make the system safe and prevent paper leaks.
Some IITs have already responded and given their suggestions. While one suggested that the system to conduct the examination should be changed every year to ensure that it is difficult to intervene in the procedure, the other suggested a double encryption model for question papers to make the entire examination process foolproof.
One of the directors of IIT said: “If human intervention is reduced and more technology is used, the system will become more efficient. For instance, in case there is an instance of a leak in the physical process, it becomes difficult to track it. Also, it would become easier to track a discrepancy with technology.”
