The Greater Noida Extension Centre (GNEC) will initially offer incubation to three startups with 15 incubatee team members working and staying in GNEC. TIDES also plans to increase the capacity of this facility so as to spawn more entrepreneurs at IIT Roorkee.

The centre has a space of 10,000 sq ft for 15 companies and will provide the startups with a number of facilities including own offices, access to labs, teleconferencing and also giving them exposure to international startup ecosystems.

It will provide a platform for the young generation to accelerate their ideas to a successful start-up with the right guidance for a go-to-market strategy. Skilled youth are looking more at startups as a profitable option and are becoming job creators.

Who all can enjoy the benefit?

After completion of their courses, students of Roorkee campus who started their initial phase of incubation at the TIDES facility in Roorkee will have an option to continue their work in the Greater Noida Campus.

Working at such campus, students can scale up their operations and explore market possibilities. Students can also work from the Greater Noida Campus during their vacations and conduct customer meetings and interactions with potential investors

However, the facility may soon be open to all, which means that other startups meeting their criteria will be able to make use of their incubator facilities.
