IIT Kharagpur, Amazon Join Hands to Impart Cloud and AI Skills to Students

As part of a new programme, students will gain access to 12 Cloud Career Pathways covering topics such as machine learning, cybersecurity and software development

The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur is introducing Amazon Web Services (AWS) Educate programme to equip students with cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) skills.

A global initiative launched by Amazon, AWS Educate programme offers a robust set of no-cost tools, resources and AWS Promotional Credits for students and educators to boost their cloud skills and experience.

All students, irrespective of their branch of study, can participate in the programme, said Director IIT KGP Prof P P Chakrabarti, who is hoping to see some innovative solution ideas coming out of this inititaive.

Learners will get AWS Educate Badge

Amazon Internet Services Private Limited President Rahul Sharma further illuminated that AWS Educate is designed to impart skill to students with the latest advancements in cloud computing technology and provide them with an environment to experiment on AWS Cloud, without making them worried about cost or access challenges.

Students taking part in the AWS Educate programme will gain access to 12 Cloud Career Pathways covering topics such as machine learning, cybersecurity and software development, each with over 30 hours of content.

Upon completion, learners will receive an AWS Educate Certificate of Completion or an AWS Educate Badge.
