Scientists at IIT Kharagpur in collaboration with GLA University have come up with a low power humidity sensor built out of a mixture of molybdenum disulphide nanoflakes and platinum nanocrystals. High level of water vapour in the atmosphere can cause damage to electronic devices. It also affects the human body as we cool off our body temperature through sweating and high humidity results in evaporating sweat disrupting the body temperature control. Hence, identifying high levels of humidity is a must for comfortable living.
