Govt of Karnataka Partners with NASSCOM to Launch Centre of Excellence for Data Science

NASSCOM and Karnataka government has officially decided to move together in the race of data science and artificial intelligence

National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) in alliance with Govt of Karnataka has launched a Centre of Excellence for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (CoE – DSAI) in Bengaluru.

NASSCOM also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NITI Aayog to boost applied research, accelerating adoption and ethics, privacy and security.

Will serve as a platform for intelligence-sharing

The initiative of establishing the centre of excellence has been taken with a view to building up India’s AI ecosystem, will serve as a platform for intelligence-sharing and technology collaboration between stakeholders to build collective capabilities for the industry and country in the emerging areas like artificial intelligence.

This joint step will gradually diminish the working criteria gap between the educational institutions and industries. It will also create a platform wherein shareholders ranging from industry to academia can build digital solutions for Industry 4.0. This step towards technology advancement will foster official joining of NITI Aayog and CoEs while making NITI Aayog as their knowledge partner.

Will assist in creating industry connects

It also aims to support small and medium-sized businesses by tracking their product development, assisting in creating industry connects and startups, will create the cloud on premise with the hub of solutions and also providing market access to organisations thereby promoting more of autonomous entrepreneurship.

 

The centre will also partner with other prestigious universities to grow and give access to deserving skill & talent along with showcasing these emerging businesses across various NASSCOM platforms.
