- Siva Sankari from Christ University wins the Botathon Bengaluru 2019
- Automation Anywhere plans to host additional Botathons in Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Jalandhar and Delhi NCR beginning next month.
Automation Anywhere, a global leader in robotic process automation (RPA), hosted India’s first-ever Botathon at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) in Bengaluru.
The event was organized to inspire students, developers and IT professionals to develop software bots and engage in new RPA career paths.
The Botathon included participation from more than 30 colleges in Karnataka. More than 1,000 students experienced hands-on learning during the event and competed in a bot-building program where they showcased their skills in RPA to improve their employability after graduation.
Out of 500 students shortlisted for the product assessment program, 105 made it to the final bot building competition.
The three winners of Botathon Bengaluru 2019 included the winner, Siva Sankari from Christ University; Yash Shah, the first runner-up and Nikita Hakari, the second runner up. Both Yash and Nikita are students of Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering.

Automation Anywhere will partner with DSCE to design a “Bot Lab” and introduce robotic process automation (RPA) in its curriculum.
“We welcome new initiatives and are proud to have been an early partner to design a “Bot Lab” at our DSCE campus and will continue to strengthen our relationship with Automation Anywhere to offer courses that bring RPA into our future curriculum,” said Dr. Prakash added.
